Production: Theatrical Release
Producer: William J. Immerman, Peter Newman
Director: David Anspaugh

Synopsis: The true story of the 1950 US soccer team who, against all odds, beat England 1 - 0 in the small town of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Although no US team has ever won a World Cup title, this story is about the family traditions and passions which shaped the lives of the players who made up this team of underdogs.

The lone American journalist in Brazil for the 1950 World Cup was the Post-Dispatch's own Dent McSkimming; he was there on vacation after the paper elected not to cover the event. McSkimming, a member of the local and national soccer halls of fame, died in 1976 at the age of 79.

Release Date: 4/22/05.
