5/23/2011 MacBeth Wins a Peabody Award

MacBeth originated at England's innovative Chichester Festival Theatre as a play taken out of its Scottish context to offer an allegory of war and the quest for power in the modern world. Filmed as a teleplay for BBC and PBS, MacBeth is one of the winners of the 70th annual Peabody Awards. Peabody Awards recognize excellence in radio, television, cable and electronic media. The Peabody Awards Ceremony will be held May 23, 2011 at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC. Patrick Stewart and Scott Bakula are expected to attend. More Details
