One of Patrick's favorite charities, the Ocean Alliance, is offering their sixth annual Evening with the Stars sunset whale watch cruise. Dr. Roger Payne, founder and president of the Ocean Alliancewill host and narrate this event from aboard the Hurricane II of Cape Ann Whale Watch, located in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Coined the "dean of modern whale research," Dr. Payne is best known for his discovery, along with Scott McVay, that humpback whales sing songs. Join Payne and his crew as he shares stories and knowledge acquired from more than 35 years of studying these magnificent creatures. The evening features a raffle for fabulous prizes, a cash bar, and enough food to satisfy a humpback! All proceeds to benefit Ocean Alliance's Cetacean Education Through Awareness (CETA) program, an internship and public education/outreach collaborative. Thursday, July 11, 2002 To reserve your spot among whales, please call 1-800-96-WHALE, or email sarah@oceanalliance.org. Space is limited so make your reservation today! |
