5/3/2010 Patrick Knighted by The Queen!

Patrick Stewart, on the New Year’s Honours list for his services to drama, was knighted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace recently. Of this honor, Sir Patrick said he was "very proud" to be made a knight, adding the theatre has always been his "great joy". "In particular the past six years have given me acting opportunities that at one time I could not have imagined possible. This is an honour that embraces those actors, directors and creative teams who have in these recent years helped fill my life with inspiration, companionship and sheer fun."
