11/16/2004 Patrick Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

From icHuddersfield: One of the world's best-known theatre companies has paid a glowing tribute to actor Patrick Stewart. The Mirfield-born superstar...received the Lifetime Achievement Award at last night's Examiner community awards. RSC Artistic Director Michael Boyd sent a tribute which was read out by Examiner editor Roy Wright at the awards, staged at the Galpharm Stadium.

Mr Boyd said: "Patrick's work on stage has long since been a benchmark of excellence for classical actors, both at home and internationally. I am delighted to hear that he has received this Lifetime Achievement Award, which he richly deserves and am very keen to see Patrick eclipsing his previous achievements at the RSC with new ones in the years to come."
